Surprised a very handsome skunk as I was exiting the garage this morning. I don't know who was more surprised... me, the skunk, or the cat (NOT the tailless cat) who was investing the area.
Yesterday I was working on a geocache in the garage and reached down to pick up a washer I dropped, and whacked my head on the pointy-corner of the pull-out on the desk. Didn't bleed like pig, but it was certainly red. The blood, that is. The students at school were quite fascinated by the Band-Aid, and I had to demonstrate several times, using my desk at work, how it happened.
The geocache I was working on was the pine cone. The top keeps coming loose, in spite of copius amounts of glue gun glue and expoxy. So yesterday I picked up an eye bolt from Dixieline, and today I fastening it all together.
I did NOT put that spider in there!!
And here is what the hanger looks like, just for reference.
Those pencil shavings are my sad attempt at disguising the eye bolt.
So far I've totaled nearly 45 miles commuting in the pretty-frigid-for-here week. I'm sure those people who bike in the snow are chuckling, though. I commented to a pedistrian this morning about how frozen I was, he suggested I go to Colorado. No thanks!
