Threatening Rain

I watched the weather report and they said it might rain again today, but I took the chance, mounted up the bike, and rode over to Fairmont Ave. for a little geocaching up one of the side canyons.

These little canyon don't usually have a name, so I call 'em "Sewer Canyons" as there is always a series of manholes for sewer or storm drains, plus a road/trail to follow.  This one I am nicknaming "Asbestos Canyon" 'cause of this antique-looking water heater that is surely leaking its heat shield into the environment.

I found three of the four caches, for sure, and possibly the remains of one. I have an email out to the cache owners on THAT one.

It was a little bit drizzly the whole time, but not too bad. I kept the strobe blinking most of the time on the road, and even turned on the headlight a few times.

Saw this slightly bashed Honda just over the top of the BIG HILL on Montezuma. I'd like to know how he did that to the poor tank!

I put just over ten more miles on the bike, so we are sitting at right around sixty point five miles for the week.
