Fourth of July

Finally got off my butt and went for a little bike ride down to the SDSU area to find a few geocaches. Found two, including one I've visited AT LEAST five times.

Saw this nifty ol' Land Rover on the way to one of the Did Not Finds. Wouldn't this be fun to go bouncing around the trails in? Didn't notice if it was left-hand or right-hand drive. Is that hole in the radiator grill for a hand crank?



Just up the street, and around the corner, was this rotatable dipole. I used to have a home-brew dipole for 15 meters, but you had to rotate it via the armstrong method...



This is the geocache I FINALLY found, named "Devine Find".  I been here AT LEAST five times, as I mentioned. This time the GPSr pointed to a spot about twenty feet away from all the other times and I easily figured it out (SPOILER: snxr fcevaxyre urnq). As you can see, the log is TOTALLY soaked. As I carefully pried apart the leaves of the log an older couple parked nearby and walked passed me. The lady wished me a happy Fourth of July.



I put around six miles on the bike today.
