Sweetwater Jaunt

After commuting to work most of the week, today was a pleasure ride down Sweetwater Blvd., with occasional side-trips for geocaching purposes.

At one cache TWO kind neighbors came out to point me in the right direction, but I STILL didn't find the cache. How ignominious!

At another cache the fellow living across the street came over to assist. I didn't find that one, either!

After an off-road excursion of nearly two miles along the northern perimeter fence of Sweetwater Lake I finally found Yikes Ants! No ants were seen. Along the way the sweet peas were in bloom.

I finally found one of the Lemon series (They're are in Lemon Grove) caches that I've been searching for for a year or so. It wasn't a HARD hide, but there were always people hanging around, it being right next to an apartment building. On the whole, I'd have to say I prefer caches in less populated areas!

A homeless guy passing by at Lamar County Park chortled when I let out an expletive after spying the cache about a foot from my parked bike. This after I had given up. I think HE knew where it was!

The cache count for today is:  Seven not found (or too chicken to look for) and five found.

Rode around twenty miles today.
