Effective Daily Affirmations

Found a geocache this morning that I've been searching for, off and on, for several YEARS. It was pretty much right where it was supposed to be. How about that?

It is a little odd riding to work in the near daylight, and riding home in the near sunset, but there you go.

Observe the aerial image below (Thank you, Google Maps, for being there!). Note the red, pink, and green paths. I came upon a fellow traveling the red path. He ran the light in the upper left-hand corner, and I fell in behind him. We traveled along for a while, then he turned off into the shopping center. I traveled to the corner (pink path) and turned right.

We met again when he exited the shopping center, turning right. He rode on the sidewalk until the light, where he pushed the button and crossed the street in the crosswalk. I wonder why he doesn't take the green path. It is much shorter, and more direct, and puts him right in line to cross the street. I've seen him before, he does this every time.

I, on the other hand, am TRYING to ride a bit farther, which ends up being further, as well.

I seem to have accumulated twenty-two miles on the Schwinn trip meter!

I forgot to mention the other day, and by now I forget where it happened, but I came upon a young lady engrossed in her texting who crossed the street without looking. She nearly jumped out of her, well, pants, when I dinged my bell at her!

What fun!
