I headed out at seven-thirty. It was a little chilly, so I took the blue jacket, but I did not put it on.
In Grantville, I talk for a moment with a cyclist heading up to Kearny Mesa to see his son play baseball. I told him I was going to REI, and he said that was near the baseball field. We discussed the route, and I told him he was probably going to be faster then me, because I was geocaching along the way. So, off he went.
I found nine caches out of twelve. Sunday morning is a good time to be out and about, not too many folks to observe one poking around in bushes.
I got a flat tire from a thorn near the adult bookstore in Kearny Mesa. YOU know the one. It's not triple-X, it's QUADRUPLE-X!!!

I continued to the lawn at the next building so that I would not be seen in front of the Adult Bookstore.

The observant will notice that the pump is not actually connected to the tube. I was inspired to take the pic after I had already filled the tube and disconnected the hose. Are you not disillusioned?
I did my business at REI after only one wrong turn. I could hear the Miramar Air Show, but could not see much, just the occasional bit of smoke and the roar of the engines. Saw some wingnuts at the Air Force Reserve joint running around in the bushes. WE never got to wear camo, I am so jealous!
Found a T Mobile Samsung Behold in the road. It's in pretty good shape, but the display just shows two colored lines when fired up. Too bad!

Going past Fry's I heard a roar of jets. I looked up, grabbed the camera, and barely got a pic!

That is as close as I'll be getting to the air show this year!
Now, down at the Murph, coming UP I saw a bunch of traffic cones set up. Coming DOWN there were cones and cars. The sporty cars were having an autocross! I found out (again!) that there is a bit of delay between pushing the camera button and when it takes the picture.

Looked like fun!
And so to home.
Mileage for week is 86.00 miles, even!
Not bike related, but sunflower related, a sad story by Bob Greene about a boy and his sunflower.

Wow! A lot happened on this ride!
I used to do autocross here in Utah in my 280zx turbo and the Mustang II my dad has now.
