Mr. M. gave me a pair of NEW toe straps. I asked him the other day if he had any laying around, and today he brings in these BRAND NEW straps and refuses any payment for them. Well!
Here is the old strap:

Is that frayed or not?
Here is the new pair:

And here is the new strap:

I feel very insecure about the routing of the strap through the buckle, but looking the Yellow Jersey's How To Use Bicycle Pedals With Toeclips page showing an extremely grungy and rusty buckle, it seems I've got it right.
Had a bit of a laff yesterday. I passed a very slow cycling woman in a dress, then stopped at the traffic signal. A noisy engine revving truck decided to take the short-cut through the gas station. A car turning left in front of us thought the truck was too aggressive and honked at him.
Here, I've layed it out for you, it is perfectly clear:

Oh, oh, I forgot to paste in the car sitting next me, blocking the truck from turning right, around me.
Now for today, I saw that old guy on the possibly motorized bicycle that I may vaguely know from many years from work, and from some AYH rides. I'd like to get a pic of his bike, but he is too fast for me.
I can't think of a thing else, except that it was a little warmer than yesterday.
Oh, and I found half a cell phone today, at that intersection pictured above.

There is also a cat somewhere in that picture.
And I am up to forty-one miles for the week, thanks to Monday's excursion.
Now, THAT is all!
