Rode to work again today. Rode yesterday too. Perhaps we should start there.
Well, nothing happened.
Nothing happened today, either.
Just rode to work, rode back home.
I DID stop at Dixieline (it's air-conditioned!!) on the way home to pick up a coarse sanding sponge. SOMEONE made a boo-boo while numbering several textbooks with a Sharpie this afternoon. I blame Le Show for distracting me.
Oh, there's something. I got smart and hooked three television antenna cables together so I could watch Le Tour de France this morning while I stamped books. A little work-around since they did not see fit to install a cable outlet in the library proper. Worked out very well.
After the tour I fired up a Mac a listened to a Jean Shepard recording (scroll down, just before the QSL cards) about his early days as a ham radio youth, then I listened to Morning Becomes Eclectic (my program of choice) on KCRW, then a DX Partyline podcast from HCJB, then a little something from the KCWR music archives, then Le Show.
This guy has been bugging me all the last two days. I've spent about six hours (It took me THAT long just to find this image!) trying to find out who he is. And what is he holding in the original photo? Anyone?

Image was "borrowed" from a Photoshop contest forum on fark.com. The subby is Tamater And no, Tamater, I'm not jealous, my Fark number is 253.
The saddest thing is, I think I journeyed on the quest before...
Oh, yea, yesterday I found half of a cell phone, that was interesting. Here is a slightly retouched piktur of the guts:

Ain't that nice?
Oh, oh, and there was a helicopter flying around Cowles Mt., yesterday, for around twenty minutes.

But THAT'S not bike related!
I DID reset the wheel circumference on the Jamis odometer today, you will be glad to know.
And C. pointed out there is another cactus flower. Ain't THAT nice!

The photo you were trying to find is of Guy Pearce. Looks like a spoof on the movie "Memento."
