It was very foggy this morning, a big surprise after yesterday's un-foggyness. Someone did not wash the bike shorts (or rather, as it turns out, they were not placed in the drawer.), so I had to wear just plain old khaki shorts. I felt a right prole.
It turns out that the Oldsmobile Toronado I saw yesterday is a 1968 model. Don't say I never follow up on stuff!
Steve the L. told me a scintillating story of his encounter with a GIANT rattlesnake that LUNGED at him when he cycled past it, quite unawares. And it LUNGED at the fellow behind him, too! When they returned to warn off the group following behind, they found the GIANT rattlesnake had slithered off into the brush. I forget just where this happend, but I will be SURE to look out for GIANT rattlesnakes this Spring!
I just finished reading The Teahouse Of The August Moon. It was a little slow going, but picked up a bit in the second half. I enjoyed it, but I had trouble with picturing Glenn Ford as Capt. Fisby.
Mileage for the week, so far, is 55 miles.
