I rode out 10 miles into the wilds of El Cajon, then back again.
Along the way I saw the BIG FLAG, back in place on its pole at De la Fuente Cadillac. The 210-foot pole was repaired recently and the flag was raised on Friday. Unlike yesterday, there does not seem to be a lot of wind today. Is the Santa Ana over?

But a little farther down the road there is a bit of a breeze, and Old Glories proudly waves!

This is got to be the strangest antenna I've ever seen. What is it for?

Right next door (well, the next block) is a collection of weather instruments on Redwood Ave. There is a particulate matter monitoring station here, too. It is part of a network. You can read about the network here, if you dare! (.doc file)

I stopped to look at the poppies on Mt. Helix, and pick up some more decomposing granite rocks.

Saggy jersey, saggy jersey!
This dipole, I've believe I've posted it before, but this is a BETTER picture! I think the insurance guy must listen to short-wave between customers.

Why is it so big? So you can see the wires!!
Picked up a quarter on Fletcher Parkway in El Cajon, near the Yogurt Mill. Picked up the rocks, as previously cited. Tested the front tire pressure when I got home. Seems low.

Total mileage for the week is 90.88 miles. The Jamis odometer stands at 7,128 miles.
