So I today I did.
Noticed this poor vintage Buick Skylark with those awful wheels. Some people!

The things some people do to their cars!
Half-way down the Jackson Drive hill it got a lot chillier! Glad to have my jacket and long-sleeve jersey on. Going through the gorge there was a tremendous head wind. I was pedaling like mad downhill to maintain my customary 13 miles per hour. I saw only one person on the whole F.S. path, a cyclist coming the other way.
I've seen this heavy-duty vehicle before, but usually it's hiding in the guy's side yard so I couldn't get a picture of it. But it was out front today, it's for sale! It's a Suzuki Samurai. I had to look that up. Thank goodness for the "S" on the side!

I picked up another BIG ROCK, but it brokded! They don't make granite like they use to!

At the intersection by Performance an old guy tried to turn left onto me, in spite of the sign which CLEARLY says "Yield To Oncoming Traffic" (or something LIKE that!). I said "EXCUSE ME, bud", and showed the frowny face.
The La Mesa Fire Department is having an open house today. Just in front of it some guy on a hand-crank recumbent appeared from nowhere and just HAD to pass me RIGHT THERE, so he could turn into the Fire Station. Sheesh!
I felt so good that I headed over to take a picture of some antennas I noticed on Google Street View the other night. Even though I was carrying the BIG ROCK I headed up a VERY steep hill, having fortuitously shifted into granny granny. This guy has a mess of antennas! No big Yagis, but several verticals. He must have ALL the bands covered.

Mileage so far, this week, is 71.90 miles.
