I warshed BOTH bikes, and waxed them. And earled the chains, and other parts.

I should have warshed the chain, too.
I cut a couple of pieces off of an old inner tube (one that has more than six patches) and maneuvered them down the pump handle. One I left flat but hanging over the flared handle, the other is rolled up. The object is to keep the pump handle from rubbing on the seat tube. And they will until they rot away.

Boy, the springs on the seat of that other bike sure are rusty!
What else did I do? Oh, I fixed the flat from the other day, organized the trunk pack, check the charge on the Jamis lights, and hoisted the Schwinn up on to its rack.
Tomorrow I go back to work, riding Jamis.

Happy New Year! Can't believe vacation is over! My parents leave tomorrow morning so our household will be hit with the post-holiday blues. Cool pic of the fog at Mission Bay. Looked mighty cold & damp. Today is my dad's birthday. Pancakes, bacon & sausage is how we started the day. Did a little shopping and then it was leftover beef stew for dinner & cake! Even after all that I'm still kind of hungry!
