It was around 40 degrees, a bit nippy, so I pulled on the leg warmers and wore the long-sleeve jersey.
Also, the yellow wind breaker jacket with the accursed zipper. I HATE small zippers! The stupid zipper doesn't align properly half the time, and I spend frustrated minutes getting the stupid thing fastened. My old purple jacket didn't have this problem, it had BIG zippers. I swore I was never going to get a jacket with a small zipper, way back when, and here I went and did it again!
But I digress...
I took the Schwinn today, since it has what we in the biking profession call "rubber" on the tire.
A nice ride up the Parkway and back, 11.48 miles in what we shall round-off to 54 minutes. I guess that would be an average of around, oh, let us round THAT to 12 miles per hour.
When I got home I had some hot tea and one of these cookies.

My volunteer mom at work made these and gave me a plate's worth for Xmas. They have a mild anise flavor to them, very nice with hot tea! On researching them I find that they are Italian waffle cookies, called "Pizelle".
I was gonna put a bunch of statistics for the year here, but I lost interest. Sorry!
