It was fifty degrees (Fahrenheit) this morning when I took off. A bit cool! But it's going to warm up, another Santa Ana is expected tomorrow.

Riding into the afternoon sun I nearly (well, I COULD have!) ran over this female person hitch-hiking in the bike lane.
Speaking of bike lights, a topic always close to my heart, I was at Home Depot the other day looking at Malibu replacement lamps, as that is what I use on my bike. The LV505 25 watt halogen lamps were going for $18.00 a pair. I couldn't bring myself to part with that much! And I wanted more than the LV504 14 watt lamp ($9.00/pair) that I had. Then, this morning, I examined the lamp on the bike (with a magnifier) and found it was an LV500. That's an 11 watt incandescent! No wonder it's not as bright as I thought! All these years.... I think I need to upgrade, pronto!
