Long Time

I haven't gone for a Dam Ride in a long time. The stars were right this morning, I woke up a a reasonable time (6:30), I did the deed!

Saddled up the Schwinn and headed out. I wore the bright yellow jacket, and it was a little chilly (53° F).

In the Construction Zone I failed to take the WHOLE LANE, so some SUV passed me slowly as we approached the red light. I just LOVE having a big black zillion pound vehicle a couple of inches from my elbow. Because I KNOW, being the only vehicle on the road, you are unable to move over to the unoccupied lane. I took the low road and flipped him. I am ashamed. I doubt he even noticed.

Down the hill in El Cajohn there is a new hanger being build at Gillespie Field.



Sorta pretty in the morning sun. Felt about ten degrees (F) cooler after dropping down into the box. In fact, it was around 47° F when I passed through Mission Trails Regional Park, and my hands hurt a little.

I took a shadow pic as I entered the park road.



I am, in point of fact, NOT saluting the yield sign. Instead, I am taking the picture. In case you wondered.

And I AM pedaling, or rather, probably coasting here.

I my quest to collect the most truck I picked up this purple cell phone debris on the Jackson Drive Hill, which I climbed in the 36/24 combo, which was unusual for me!



Oh, and I bought a couple pair'o sneakers at Target yesterday.

Saw this black beauty lurking behind a bush the other day when I walked home.



I figure it's a 1959 Oldsmobile 98.

And lastly, when you don't have an on-site apartment manager you get people parking their trucks on the lawn.
