No, it's the same hope, hope for cooler weather!
And it is, a bit, but a little more humid, which I do not care for.
I saw THREE bicyclists on the way to work this morning, all within 10 seconds of each other, but all heading different directions. It was kinda weird.
I saw one fellow this afternoon on a "ten speed", helmet, good form, in the bike lane, but going in the wrong direction. Towards ME! I murmured "Clever" at him as he passed by. I SHOULD have made him pass on the outside, now that I think...
I've received a couple of comments on this blog from a fellow who is associated with dog walkers. I'm getting the feeling he is just trying to get people to visit his site and purchase his dog-walking product. But ANYWAY, I just want to state HERE and NOW that I LOVE dogs, I've HAD pet dogs, I've CRIED over dogs. I also have nothing (much) against Dog Walkers, I believe that (most of them) are the salt of the earth, and will inherit the same. Except the ones who don't clean up after their dog, who don't leash their dog, who don't control their dog, and who let their dog pull out their 20-foot leash across the bike path/road. I mean, REALLY!

I was sorely tempted to do that to a JOGGER in the BIKE lane, on the way to work today!
I understand your problem with poop left behind but:
You should be thankful for dog walkers.
Dog walkers and dogs are the most reliable and inexpensive security resource in society. With their daily presence in our parks and on our nature trails, they are the eyes and ears of the community, frequently the first to discover crime and consistently a deterrent to it. We should be encouraging the presence of dog walkers and their dogs rather than implementing public policies that restrict and prohibit them.
