Rode the bike today, not on the Dam Ride, but on a sortie to Dick Blick down in Little Italy. I don't recall ever being in that part of town before, or they have fixed it up, or something. Looks very genteel. Well, maybe not, but the coffee shops and sidewalk cafes are all there.
Got the blotting paper. I had to fold the big sheet to fit (sort of) into the pannier. It fell out five times on the way home. At one point a street lady tried to hit me up for some money for "food".
I was kinda tired climbing any kind of grades, but I did the 22.58 miles in 1 hour 58 minutes 09 seconds of riding time.
I was surprised, and I don't know why, as I have certainly ridden downtown a number of times, that the trip is the same length as the Dam Ride.

Sounds like you had an interesting ride. I've never been to Little Italy either. Maybe have driven by it. I should go at least once. Today was Jacob's first basketball practice/game. Was pretty good. Unfortunately they updated the times of all his games from mornings to afternoons. Kind of makes it hard to plan things on Saturdays. Oh well.
