No riding, it's cold, I can't fit it into my busy schedule, blah blah blah. Saturday is coming up, maybe I can squeeze it in THEN...

Maybe I'll ride down to Dick Blick and pick up some blotting paper, since Aaron Brothers and Michael's do not know what I'm talking about...

A lady was telling me that she took her Terry in for some servicing and that the estimate came to around 300 bucks, or maybe a bit less. She said it needed a chain and shifters, and other stuff. She decided to buy a new bike (a Trek). Now, the Terry is what I call an semi-expensive bike. It seems to me that fixing that stuff would basically give you a new bike. If it fits you and suit your purpose, why not fix it? I've certainly spent several times the cost of my Schwinn on repairs!! I wonder what she going to do with the Terry? I hope it won't languish in her garage!

The San Diego Velodrome swap meet is coming up this weekend. I told Steve the L. that he should take that Mercx he bought cheaply, put a sign on it that says "I paid 25 bucks for this. It's not for sale."
