I was right near where the pine cone geocache was, so I pulled in to take a couple of pics.
The drainage ditch into which the hapless geocacher dropped the pine cone and had to climb over the fence, make his way down to retrieve it, and negotiate his way back up.

The pine cone geocache in situ.

I pushed the bike to work, it wasn't that far. Popped the tube out and check for pointy things. Found this!

I replaced the tube with my spare, pumped it up, and ssssss, it was leaking!
I found the spare tube had another hole right next to a patch. Must have got a snake bite on that one. I took a look and the tube I had taken out, the one I rode on today, it had a snake bite, too, right near the stem. I didn't see much likelihood of fixing THAT, so into the trash it went.
Anyway, I fixed the spare, rode home, and bought a couple of new tubes at Performance. Plus a tire, brake pads, and some polypro glove liners that were on sale.
