Icy Monday

Came outa the house at six this morning to find ice on the lawn. Chunks of ice, like ice cubes. Like someone dumped their drink in the lawn. Who drinks icy drinks on chilly mornings?

Took a picture. Thought the flash would artistically laminate the ice in the darkness. It did not. Erased the picture.

I may have to re-think my strategy of leaving the headlights off to save the battery, only turning them on when I see a car. I was surprised twice today by cars zooming out of driveways, one was about five feet in front of me. I guess the GIANT STROBE just isn't enough!

Rep. Duncan Hunter thinks of bicycling as an essentially recreational activity. I think I'll send him an email.

I seem to be coming down with a cold.

I called my mother for Valentine's Day. Aren't I a great son?

It is supposed to rain later in the week. Tomorrow may be the last day to ride to work. You know how much I hate getting the bike wet!
