The odometer was at 9998, so II was paying STRICT attention so I could take a photograph when it turned. OF COURSE I got distracted and did not pay that STRICT attention. I was sitting in the left turn lane, waiting for a light, when I noticed it was 10000!!! So, I took a picture right there in the street, with a car waiting behind me. Good thing the light didn't change! After the light changed I went through the intersection and pulled over. The odometer had changed to 10001 already.
Too bad I didn't arrange to have the odometer change and my 500th cache on the same that. THAT would have been something! Two milestones on one day! Now I shall have to wait till my 1,000th cache and the odometer going to 20,000 miles. Remind me in five years.

Yes, that's cork. Yes, that's the lens cap. Yes, those bolts are rusty. Why aren't they stainless steel?
So we got 81.13 miles on the trip-o-meter for the week, and the odometer is 10,007 miles. How about that?
