Back Down The Hill

I was whining yesterday that "they" have not fixed the EXTREMELY bumpy bike lane on the downhill-leg of Montezuma in twenty years. I recall a Bike For Breath¹ going down that sucker, very scary with everyone bouncing all over the place. And yesterday, I lost a precious rock, it launched itself right out of the basket!

And I find this morning that all the bumpy places, except one little one, more of a hole, really, were repaved yesterday. No more bouncy rocks!

I found the cache I did not find yesterday, didn't find a new one (I hate bushes. And rocks), and did not find that one at the ampm, even though I bought coffee. I DID learn, from the rather patient clerk, that there is some sort of newfangled cardboardy thing that slips right over the cup to prevent one from cooking one's fingers. Imagine!



I surreptitiously surveyed the area for that darn cache while sipping the joe, but no. So I headed home.

For the week we got 41.91 miles, the odometer is at 9,968 miles.
