I rode the Schwinn. It is so much easier to ride than Jamis. And much quieter!
I found two bucks in the gutter in front of Starbucks. I picked it up and waved it at the patrons sitting at the outside tables. My spouse suggests it might have been a tip that blew over to the street. Too bad for you, says I!
Finding the bills did not give me a profit for the day, as I had to spent two buck on a bowl of chicken soup for lunch, because the cook did not make me a sandwich, and I am helpless.
In the evening I worked up my courage, removed the rear wheel from Jamis, and popped the cassette off with my new cassette tool, my old, previously unused, chainwhips, and my pretty-darn-big Craftsmen breaker bar. Darn thing came right off, no problemo! Greasy gears all over the place! Then I went to loosen the bolt on the crank. Oh, oh, without the rear wheel, I can't hold it! Gotta put everything back together, put the bike on the ground, you know, for a bit of traction. NOW I've got it!
What a breaker bar might look like:

Then I went in for dinner. That was enough excitement for the day.
Today, Tuesday (Garbage Day), is rather cooler, sixty-seven degrees (F.), cloudy, with a twenty-percent chance of rain. Speaking of, looks like I got home just before the sprinkles!
Some guy emailed me today, asking for advice in finding a geocache he was searching for. Me, Mr. Blind-as-a-bat! I felt so proud!
