In Lemon Grove they like to park in the bike lane.

And the sign says, "Park Off Pavement." Cretins!
Seeing the exhaust pipes of this truck peeking over a tall fence was a surprise. I had just come this way a few minutes earlier and had not noticed them. Too busy looking at the full dumpster next door, I guess. Oh, there is a kitty in there!

I am holding the camera over my head so as to clear the fence, taking several shots as I can't see where I am aiming, now can I?
Is the army missing any vehicles?
In this one we see an auto apparently parked in the bike lane, but in fact it is not. The bike lane sign is right in front of it.

But, notice we get to swing out into traffic to get around it, all the same.
On the topic of bike maintenance, it is not a good idea to let your gears get to this state.

Which gear do I use the most? Can you guess?
I bought a cassette lockring tool yesterday at Performance. It was on sale for around five bucks. I was glad to see it doesn't have a handle, instead I use my GIANT breaker bar. Sweet!
Mileage on the trip meter for the week is 50.34 miles, and the odometer is at 8,858 miles, which puts me at 2,365 miles for the year to date on Jamis, anyway.
