I headed out in the foggy morning, around seven thirty, after watching a bit of Sunday Morning. I wish Sunday Morning was not on in the Morning, on Sunday, so I could watch it more often, and in totality.
I was looking for a geocache when I saw this loading dock. I guess there isn't any loading going on here!

The cache was not anywhere NEAR here, as it turned out. Several misinterpretations of the latitude/longitude had me wandering around a bit. Since I was on the bike, it was all good exercise.
I looked for another cache that I had looked for before, but still did not find it. Put it on the watch list. When someone else finds it, I'll look again.
Rolled over to Mary's Donuts. Lots of traffic on Fanita heading south, what is up with that?
Got donuts and a coffee. Someone who could have been Mary told me there was a terrible accident on the 125 that was causing all the traffic. I was going to look for the Mary's cache, but a team of gardeners was busy cutting the weeds. Hope THEY don't find it!
I hooked up with a guy on a bike and we headed that way. Nothing to see but police cars. The cops directing traffic helpfully did NOT stop traffic for us, so we zipped across the 125/Mission Gorge Road intersection during an all too brief break in traffic. Thank you so much, guys!
I headed up Mesa Road to check out that other cache. I ate my donut and drank my coffee and climbed around the rocks, but no joy. As I was getting ready to go, three guys on bikes came down the road. The first one hopped over the log barrier. I said, "Can you do that again?" He came back and did it again. The second guy tried, got stuck. I said, "Notice I did not get my camera out to record that!" He tried again, made it. The third guy got stuck too, and had to do over. I said, "Maybe I could do that if I took the basket off!" I started to lift the bike over the log, one of the guys said, "Where are YOU going?", to which I replied, "Lake Murry Drive", which is a blvd., of course.
What an ear for dialog have I!
Said hi to a lady walking a dog, who ignored me. The lady, not the dog. Well, both of them.
I rode over to the Grossmont bike path. Check out one of those caches I've been looking for, found one of them. Yippee!
Went looking for another cache over at Lake Murray and Navajo, did not find that one. And there were just too many people around. So I called it a day and headed home.
Mileage for the two weeks is 120.03, for an average of 60.015 per week. And that demonstrates something about averages!
And the Jamis odometer is at 8,547 miles. That means 2,056 miles on Jamis this year to date.
Here is a sunflower picture! Two little blooms gamely, well, blooming, long after everything else is very dead. A lesson for us all, I am sure.
