El Tour De Las Quatro Montañas Pequeños
Even though the sky was overcast, I wore the Pink Fat Cyclist jersey. I only gooped up my face, as I didn't want to goop the inside of my pretty blue jacket.
The ride was fairly uneventful. Nothing broke, no acts of hostility on ANYONE'S part.
Saw several photo ops along the way, none of which I availed myself of. Saw a nice set of antennas, at one point. I shall pass that way again!
There is a small patch of houses near Fletcher Parkway that are of the "Alpine" A-frame style. As a youth, I had a hankering to live in one.

I removed my pretty blue jacket and blue glove liners at this point. The sun was out a bit, by now, and it was warmer. I suppose I never really needed the glove liners at all.
After climbing the Parkway I headed over to Mt. Helix, via Amaya and Severin Drives.
I modified the route by going up Mt Helix on Fuerte Drive, remembering, as I climbed, the reason I don't like this road. Cars too fast, road too narrow. Even on a Sunday morning.
Today's view from the parking lot on the summit of Mt. Helix.
There were no rock climbers or little kids today, just a couple stair-stepping in the bowl.
If you want to see hummingbirds, this is the place! There were at least ten of the little birdies flitting around in the plantings near the parking lot. They managed to elude all my attempts to photograph them, however!
Did I mention the early-morning duck in the dark bike path incident the other, er, morning? Oh yes, the recalcitrant ducky did not vacate the path until the last moment. What's next? Elephants?
