I headed out this morning, this SUNNY morning. Not a cloud in the sky, much. I found a scratched up nickel along the way, and I collected a BIG ROCK.

Some day I'll have enough rocks to build that rock garden, and my cacti will have a place to live.
This wasn't to be a big ride, only eight miles to put the odometer over the 60 mile mark.
I stopped at a conveniet spot to take a picture of the sky. It was also convenient because there is a Nash Metropolitan hiding in a garage there, and I wanted to get a picture of it so my son would be exposed to yet another old car.
First, the sky:
To the southeast, sunnyness!

To the northwest, zowie, darkness!

Now, the Nash Metropolitan!

It's a cutie convertible!
As I coasted down the Parkway I picked up a tail, a couple of cyclists who stayed behind me all the way. During the left-hand turn up the hill I saw something shiny in the road. I wondered what it was, but it was NOT a good place to stop. I pedaled up the hill in Super Granny (Hey, I was carrying the BIG ROCK!), and I saw in my mirror that the couple had stopped and the guy had walked back and picked something up. I rode slowly (but surely!) up the hill, but they were going even more slowly. So I waited through two light changes at the top for them to catch up. When they did, I asked him, "So, what was it?"
She said, "You waited to ask that?"
I said, "Yeah."
He said, "It was a slug!"
I said, "Hey, I found a scratched-up nickel today!"
She said, "You passed a dime back there!"
"Awwww," I said. She then took off, while the guy asked me about my headlight setup. Then he took off, and I headed home.
And it's still not raining.
Mileage for the week is 60.09, and the final odometer reading is 7,037 miles.
