I wandered around the Grossmont trolley stop to see how the construction was gone. The security guy quietly told me to walk my bike. I said there seems to be no through way, he agreed and suggested I could take my bike up the stairs. I declined, and left the way I came.
Saw this somewhat worse for wear International Harvester truck in my travels. Not a lot of these guys around anymore.
They've a speed radar speed sign on Hacienda Drive. I can't imagine there's a lot of speed racers here in this semi-gentrified residential area, but I guess there are. I managed a sedate 21 mph on my second run at the sign, and it's only a SLIGHT downhill.
Climbed most of the Jackson Drive Hill in the 42/26 combo, then decided, who I am I trying to impress?, and downshifted to the 30/32 granny gear.

Be kind to your knees -- you may need them when you get old. Use your low gears!
