First I had to wipe off the chain from yesterday's oiling, then I was ready to go.
I wandered around La Mesa, heading east. Found this nifty terminal strip and heat sink on the side of the road near Mt. Helix.

There were numerous other bits of electrical detritus which you will be glad to hear that I did NOT bring home!
I headed over past Grossmont High school, following the rim road to the traffic circle, then wandering through the Northmont area exploring the old homestead. Discovered a couple of ham radio installations along the way.

I always thought the discone was a nifty antenna.

You would not BELIEVE how long it took me to find out the name of that antenna on the top, there. It's an Isopole. I've looked it up before, it took me forever, then, too. I should write it on the computer monitor so I can remember it!
Mileage for the day is 10.77 miles in 56 minutes and 37 seconds.
63.68 miles -10.77 = 52.91 miles till my goal of 3,000 miles for the year.
How about that?
