The ride home reminded me of "home"; it was cloudy and cool, slightly damp, a little breezy, blowing the aroma from the hamburger joint (MacDonalds...) to me. My grandpa lived next door to a hamburger joint. Ten for buck, greasy sack no extra charge!
Because you care, here is yesterday's flat tube:

Here is this morning's flat tube:

The flat tubes are both this size, which doesn't seem quite large enough, but that's what the store guy said would work. Well, working is one thing, but they are a pain to patch. I tried to patch one, but they are too small for the size patches I have! I'm tossing both the flat tubes!

I'm thinking I should be using this larger tube, and, the box says it fits the 27 1/4 that the Schwinn uses, too!

If I get a couple of those nifty Presta/Schrader rim grommets, I could used Presta tubes on the Schwinn, and both bikes would use the same tube! Have I thought this before? Why have I not done it yet?
So far this week, I got the 31 miles.
Have you seen that awful pic of the drunk driver/bike race crash in Mexico? I'm not even linking to it. Awesome pic, truly horrendous crash.

I forgot to mention that I got a flat on Thursday; I changed my tire Sunday morning when was riding to meet you.
I'm getting some more of those self-sealing tubes. I didn't have a flat for like 5 years on one of those.
Great pics of the train. You really lucked out it being late and all. Bummer about those flats. Aggravating, I'm sure.
