Day Before Bike To Work Day

What a day to leave the camera home!

I was driving east on the 8 this afternoon, traffic is slowing WAY down. It's normal, it's going home time. I'm grooving (Not a word I used much, even when it WAS in vogue!) to the sounds of Dimitri From Paris. Sacrebleu was the album, the cut was "Le Moogy Reggae", I believe. We (my fellow commuters) are moving (slowly) up the grade near San Diego State, when what do I see on the shoulder, but two bicycling tourists, full kit panniers and all, pedaling (slowly) up the grade.

I am PRETTY sure bicycles are in no way allowed along here, but I can see, depending on where they were coming from, chancing the route would save an hour of cycling up some big ol' hills.
