I took a chance, went for a ride.
Along Bancroft at the base of Mt. Helix I stopped and took awful pictures of flowers:
My favorite of the group.
You can click on the pics to vist my zooomr page and see the awfulness in all its glory! Do it!
I wandered around El Cajon and eventually made my way to Prospect Ave. in Santee and settled in on a Dam Ride.
A dog on a leash (a LONG leash) lunged at me near the dam. I yelled, "YEAH, THAT'S A GOOD IDEA!" I don't know what it means, either. Maybe, "Please don't taunt the dynamite monkey"
After a pit stop at the interpretive center to eat a granola bar, I climb up Jackson Drive in the 24/24 combination. I found that at the top of the hill I had completely forgotten about the dog thing.
Some kind of Easter thing going on at the lake. Loud Xtian Rock music. At the light on Lake Murray and Kiowa a couple on bikes that I had passed earlier caught me. As the light didn't seem to want to change, I rolled over and pushed the button. They said "Thanks", and we chatted about the weather a bit. The light changed, they took off and said "Bye".
I made it home ok.

Great pics of the poppies! I think it's a great touch being able to see what you've discovered on your rides.
