Not so many clouds this morning, and it's getting warmer. I had a flat front tire before I started, so there was a delay. I suspect the flat came from the thorn I picked out of the tire the other day. Slow leak!

I did the Dam Ride this morning. I saw a couple bicycles someone had put out with the garbage. One was a beat-up Schwinn mountain bike. The other was was an old road bike with bar end shifters. I should go back and grab it, just for the shifters! It look like things are coming along at the Santee construction project. Not much to see this morning untill I got to Lake Murray. Around the back side near the terlet I came upon two kids who were startled (as was I) when a hawk burst from the bushes and flew alongside the road for 30 feet or so. The kids ran to their grandma to tell her what they saw. Very cute!

So, I rode 23.3 miles in 1 hour, 56 minutes, 38 seconds. Not a heck of an average speed!

I forgot to mention that I took off the rear wheel the other day and lubed the freewheel with a great deal of Phil's Tenacious Oil. It's green! Now I don't hear all that clicking. Then I lubed the chain with Tri-Flow. Or maybe I did that first.
