I am fascinated with those memorials people put up on the side of the road. I always wonder what happened.

I always dreamed of owning a caboose. The Flinn Springs store has one. And the store has a for sale sign on it!

Here's another memorial. It's nice to see somone is taking care of it.

El Capitan in Lakeside had a little cloud on it, so I thought I better take a picture of it.

I took this picture at the turn-around point in the ride. It's at the top of the grade on Alpine Blve., before you get to the intersection with Arnold Way.

On the way back I stopped at Summers Past to see the sweet pea maze. Well, the maze is there but not sweet peas, it's this purple flower.

In the center of the maze is a fairy garden.

I bet my gnomes can take their fairies!
I covered 35.4 miles (56.9707776 kilometers) in 2 hours, 44 minutes, and 18 seconds, not counting stoplights and photo shoots. Which comes out to an average of 12.95 mph (20.8410048 kilometers per hour)
Weekly Mileage:
Jamis -- nada
Schwinn -- 76 miles (122.310144 kilometers)

Argh! I'm got behind reading your blog. Enjoyed the pics. You are looking rather trim!
It's sad that there are so many memorials. I know what you mean wondering what happened.
What would you do with a caboose?
