Yesteday I rode the Jamis over to Kelly and Ryan's house for a BBQ. I took the lights as I figured it would be dark by the time I left. It was. I carbo-loaded on brownies and cookies before I left, as it's a whole couple miles to my place, and I didn't want to bonk. Plus, you use up more carbs when it's cold, right?
There were several other people there who ride:
Steve, who races.
Ryan, who would like to race, I think.
Jessica, Ironman triathalete.
Kai, who rides slow, like me.
A lady who was sunburned that is involved in Teams In Training.
A fellow whos name, I am embaressed to say, has slipped my mind, that ride with the big kids.

Sounds like a good time. Geez, I feel lazy after reading that list of cyclists! My friend, Linda, who is a triathalete had a MRI of the brain on Wednesday. She's been having some nasty headaches & eye seizures for about 5 weeks and some other symptoms that she refuses to tell me about. I think she knows that I'll be able to piece together what they are trying to rule out but I've already guessed that. Sigh. I didn't even know that she was having all these symptoms till last Thursday. Anyway, she's supposed to get the results tomorrow. Kind of bummed about all this because I just don't have a good feeling about it. She's in her late 50's, I believe, but has the energy of a teenager. Guess I can't really worry about all this till we find out the results. I hate the wait.
